CreateMascot: an AI product that keeps one character consistent
We built CreateMascot, an AI product for founders and small teams. It designs a brand mascot from a website and product idea, or takes an existing one, and then generates matching illustrations for onboarding, empty states, error pages, launches and emails, with the same character every time.
About CreateMascot
CreateMascot is a self-serve product for founders, makers and small teams who want a mascot across their whole product, not a single illustration. Customers buy credit packs and generate images in formats sized for apps, websites, social posts and launches.
The challenge
Generating one good image is easy. Getting the same character, in the same style, across forty different screens is not: faces drift, proportions change and details appear that should not be there.
The product had to make consistency the default, and be simple enough for someone without design experience to use.
What we did
- Character directions
- Customers share their website and product idea and get three character directions, or upload a mascot they already have.
- An approved look
- A character “ID card” with style and always/never rules, approved once and used as the reference for every image after it.
- Generation for every placement
- Images for welcome screens, empty states, 404 pages, social cards and more, in formats sized for each use.
- Self-serve payments
- Sign-in, credit packs and checkout, so customers pay and start generating without talking to anyone.
Outcome
CreateMascot is live and self-serve: customers buy credits, approve a character once and generate matching artwork for their product.
