WordPress maintenance, updates and backups

We keep WordPress, your theme and your plugins up to date, and test each round of updates so they do not break forms, checkouts or page layouts. Your site is backed up off-site, and we check that backups actually restore. It is all part of a care plan for a fixed monthly fee.

Frequently asked questions

What is included in a website maintenance package?

Our care plans cover hosting, security, updates, backups, monitoring and a written monthly report. Managed and Partner plans add content changes, and Partner adds quarterly improvement work. Every plan is a fixed monthly fee, quoted in writing.

How often should a WordPress site be updated?

Security updates should be applied promptly, and everything else reviewed at least monthly. Sites left without updates for months are among the easiest to break into and the hardest to update safely later.

What if an update breaks something?

We test after updates and can roll back to the previous version or restore a backup. You see what changed, and why, in your monthly report.
