Website speed optimisation and Core Web Vitals

We measure how fast your website loads for real visitors, using Google’s Core Web Vitals, and fix what slows it down: heavy images, too many plugins, third-party scripts and underpowered hosting. On a care plan, we keep checking speed after every update so the gains do not slip.

Frequently asked questions

What are Core Web Vitals?

Three measures Google uses to judge page experience: Largest Contentful Paint, how quickly the main content appears (good is 2.5 seconds or less); Interaction to Next Paint, how quickly the page responds to a tap or click (good is 200 milliseconds or less); and Cumulative Layout Shift, how much the page jumps while loading (good is 0.1 or less).

How can I test my website’s speed?

Google’s PageSpeed Insights shows lab results and, for busier sites, real-visitor data for any public page. You can also ask us for a free website assessment, which covers speed alongside accessibility and your key journeys.

Why is my website slow?

The most common causes are large images, too many plugins, third-party scripts such as tracking pixels and chat widgets, and underpowered hosting. A speed audit tells you which of these apply to your site.
