Our standard
We build bllok.studio to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. The site is partially conformant: our main pages are designed and tested to that standard, but not every part of the site has been fully audited yet, as set out below.
What the site is designed to support
- using every link, menu and form with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator
- skipping straight to the main content from the top of every page
- zooming in, with layouts that reflow to a single column on narrow screens
- text colours with a contrast of at least 4.5:1 against their background
- reduced motion, if your device asks for it
- screen readers, with headings, form labels and page landmarks marked up
How we tested
On 30 September 2026 we tested the homepage, the services pages, plans, work, about and contact pages with automated checks (Google Lighthouse, which uses the axe-core engine), at phone and desktop widths, and checked keyboard operation of the navigation menus. We have not yet completed a full manual audit with screen readers, and will update this statement when we have.
Known limitations
- Four older case study pages (N’katror, Innox, Vrtex and The Linked Lens) use an earlier design and have not been tested to the same standard.
- Our German-language salon demo at /de/friseur/ is a fictional product demonstration and has not yet been fully audited.
- Screenshots of client websites show those websites as they were, and are described with text alternatives rather than being accessible versions of those sites.
