Who we are
Bllok is run by Metin Ferati, who is responsible for (the controller of) the personal data described in this policy.
For any privacy question or request, email metin@bllok.studio.
When you contact us
Our contact form does not send or store anything on this website. When you press “Send enquiry”, it opens your own email app with your message filled in, and nothing is sent until you send that email. The same applies if you email or phone us directly.
We receive what you choose to send, usually:
- your name, organisation, email address and, if you give it, phone number
- the content of your message
We use this only to reply to you, to discuss and quote for work, and, if you become a client, to deliver it. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services. We never add you to a mailing list without your consent.
We keep enquiry emails for 12 months after our last contact, unless you become a client, in which case we keep project records for as long as we need them to deliver our services and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Analytics
We use Simple Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It is a privacy-focused service that does not use cookies, does not collect personal data and does not track you across other websites. We see totals, such as page views and referring websites, never individual visitors.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies, so there is no cookie banner. Our German-language salon demo at /de/friseur/ stores its fictional booking data in your browser’s local storage so the demo works. That data stays on your device, is never sent to us, and you can clear it from within the demo or your browser settings.
Other services this website uses
- Hosting. The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the service.
- Email. Enquiries are received through Google Workspace.
- Fonts on older pages. Some older pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google and shares your IP address with it. Our main pages use fonts hosted on our own site.
- Client websites in case studies. Some older case study pages show a live preview of a client’s website, which loads that website in your browser.
We do not sell personal data, and we share it only with the service providers above, or when the law requires it. Vercel and Google may process data outside the UK and the European Union, including in the United States, under the safeguards set out in their own data processing terms.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us to do any of the following, and data protection laws such as the UK and EU GDPR give these rights legal force:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- ask us to correct or delete it
- ask us to restrict or stop using it, or object to how we use it
- ask for your data in a portable format
To make a request, email metin@bllok.studio. We respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live, such as the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK (ico.org.uk).
Clients
When we build or run a website for your organisation, any personal data we handle on your behalf, such as supporters’ details in forms or donation systems, is covered by our contract with you and a data processing agreement, not by this policy.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the way we handle data changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
