Who they are
N’katror is a grassroots tech community in Skopje building pathways to digital careers through education, mentorship, hackathons and civic technology. Since 2024 it has trained and connected hundreds of young people across North Macedonia and the diaspora, with programs spanning digital skills, women in STEM, and open-source platforms for social good.
The challenge
I sit on both sides of this one. As the founder, I needed what every organisation I work with needs: a site that tells funders and partners a credible story, publishes event recaps without friction, grows a newsletter, and works in two languages, because our community does not live in one.
As the builder, I had no client to blame and no scope to hide behind. If something about the site did not serve the mission, that was on me.
What I built
Bilingual from the ground up.
Full English and Albanian versions managed from one place, because reaching Albanian-speaking youth in their language is the mission, not a nice-to-have.
Impact that funders can read in ten seconds.
A numbers section (community members, cities reached, events hosted, civic organisations mapped) built the way grant reviewers actually scan a site.
Programs mapped to UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Each pillar is tagged to the SDGs it serves, the same alignment language organisations write into funding applications.
Everything an operating org needs.
Event recaps published as news, newsletter capture, partner logos, volunteer and support pages, and a brand kit. Run without a developer, even though the founder happens to be one.
